The 0.15 Ohm Stainless Steel mesh coils can be used up to 75W. The benefit of Stainless Steel is that you can use it in variable wattage and temperature control mode.
The 0.2 Ohm Kanthal mesh coils can be used up to 85W. Kanthal can be used in variable wattage mode only.
Mesh coils have a wider surface area than traditional wound coils, which means they heat faster in general. As well, you’re less likely to experience hot spots, meaning your coils will last for longer.
